How online GLP-1 weight loss care works, step by step
From the first question to the package at your door: what happens at each step with neo, who makes each decision, and when you are charged.
Online care removes the waiting room. It does not remove the clinician. Here is the whole path at neo, in order.
1. A free online assessment
It takes about 3 minutes. You tell us the state you live in, your date of birth, your height and weight, and you answer questions about your health. The assessment is free.
2. You see your plan and your total
Before you pay you see the plans, what each includes and your total. Medication, review by a licensed clinician, secure messaging with your care team and shipping are included in the price.
3. A licensed clinician reviews your answers
Your care is provided by independent licensed clinicians through neo's partner medical group. Your clinician reviews your health history and makes every treatment decision: whether medication is appropriate, which one, and at what dose.
You are only charged if a clinician prescribes treatment. Until then you may see a pending amount on your card. It is not a charge.
4. A licensed pharmacy fills and ships it
If your clinician prescribes medication, a licensed U.S. partner pharmacy fills and ships it. Tracking appears in your account.
The medications prescribed through neo are compounded. Compounded medications are not FDA approved and are not the same as brand-name medications.
5. Care continues
Your treatment continues while your prescription is active. Your clinician may ask you to complete a follow-up before a refill is sent. You can message your care team about any concern.
There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel anytime from your account.
What online care does not change
A prescription is still a clinician's decision, and a clinician can still say no. Results vary from person to person, and we never guarantee an outcome. For a medical emergency, call 911.
This article is general information, not medical advice. A licensed clinician decides whether a medication is appropriate for you.
